Working legal draft
Terms and Conditions
Terms for appointments, diagnosis, quotes, call-outs, parts, data, payment and repair warranties.
This draft corrects the old address and removes obsolete ecommerce wording, but the business must still confirm retention periods, uncollected-device procedure, cancellation handling and the exact live tracking and security tools.

About these terms
These terms apply to repair enquiries and services supplied by PC Repair Guru. They do not remove statutory consumer rights. A written quote, receipt or agreed job-specific condition may add to these general terms.
Appointments and workshop visits
Workshop visits are by appointment at 9A Hob Moor Road, Small Heath. Customers should call before travelling and bring the relevant charger, cable or accessory where it forms part of the fault.
Call-outs
Call-outs are arranged where suitable. The charge depends on postcode and travel distance and is confirmed before booking. An agreed call-out charge remains payable even if no repair is completed.
Diagnosis, quotations and approval
General fault diagnosis is free, including where the customer decides not to proceed. Specialist data-recovery assessment or recovery may have a separate charge explained in advance. Quotations are based on the information and condition known at the time. No additional chargeable repair should proceed without approval if hidden damage or a different fault changes the work.
No Fix, No Fee
No Fix, No Fee applies to repair labour where the agreed repair cannot be completed. It does not cancel an agreed call-out charge, approved diagnostic or specialist data-recovery charge, or the cost of an approved or specially ordered part.
Parts and special orders
The exact part, price and availability may depend on the device model and supplier. A part approved or specially ordered for the customer may remain payable where this was explained before ordering. Warranty on supplied parts depends on the relevant part, supplier or manufacturer.
Customer-supplied parts
Where a customer supplies a part, PC Repair Guru cannot guarantee its compatibility, condition or supplier warranty. Labour and any damage caused by an unsuitable or defective customer-supplied part should be agreed separately.
Data, passwords and backups
Customers remain responsible for backups where practical. Repair, software work and data recovery can involve an inherent risk of data loss, corruption or account access. Passwords supplied for diagnosis should be changed after the repair where appropriate. No data-recovery result can be guaranteed.
Payment
Payment methods include cash, debit card and credit card. Payment timing, deposits and any balance due should be confirmed on the quote or receipt. The website does not currently take online shop payments.
Turnaround and same-day work
One to three working days is a typical guide, not a guarantee. Same-day repair may be available for selected faults when the required part is available and workload allows. Delays can arise from testing, hidden damage, specialist work or supplier availability.
Collection and uncollected devices
Collection arrangements should be confirmed when the repair is completed. Any storage charge, notice period or disposal process for uncollected equipment must be clearly communicated and must follow applicable law. The final live terms require the business’s actual procedure to be inserted before launch.
Warranty
Repair workmanship is covered for 30 days for the agreed repair, subject to normal use and inspection. The warranty does not automatically cover a different fault, new damage, liquid exposure, malware introduced later, misuse, third-party work, data loss or failure of another aged component. Part warranty depends on the part and manufacturer.
Liability and safety
Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded. Customers should stop using equipment that is unsafe, smells burnt, sparks, has liquid damage or contains a swollen battery. The customer should disclose known damage, previous repairs and important data risks.
Third-party services and links
The website may link to third-party services such as WhatsApp, Google Maps and Trustpilot. PC Repair Guru does not control those services or their terms.
Governing law and contact
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, subject to applicable consumer rights. Questions can be sent to info@pcrepairguru.co.uk or discussed on 0121 679 9865.
